GREENVILLE, S.C. – Dr. Annie Andrews said she would attend the 2026 Upstate Black Women’s Maternal Health Forum Sunday afternoon.
“This urgent conversation will center on the needs of women and families of color in the Upstate and across South Carolina, and how we protect their access to healthcare and advocate for lower prescription costs,” Dr. Andrews said.
Greenville County health officials and maternal health professionals were also in attendance, according to Dr. Andrews.
Andrews said guests would hear what the government can do to increase health outcomes and reduce health risks for Black women and the communities in which they live and serve.
The forum was held from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Upstate Circle of Friends, located at 29 Ridgeway Drive in Greenville.
Dr. Andrews is the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate. She will go against the winner of the U.S. Senate Special Republican Primary Runoff Election in the November general election.
